Seasoned Technology Writer & Marketing Expert
I’ve worked in content marketing, social media and technology journalism for nearly a decade, spending the past 5 years working purely with technology startups. As well as this I have written for some of the UK’s most recognised tech blogs and delivered content campaigns for many of Europe’s biggest brands, including Hyundai, Rentokil and the CBI.
Currently very interested in Internet of things (IoT), mobile – specifically around how it will change third-world society over the next five years, and the growth of the Software-as-a-Service industry (SaaS)
Professionally, my role at Faber Ventures looks at how a startup positions themselves in the wider market, and how their brand will be received by both consumers and in the media.
This is me. If you want to say hi – drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org

Head of Marketing and Communications – Faber Ventures
Our goal as a VC is to create a platform to build outstanding startups, alongside outstanding founders. Faber Ventures works in tandem as a seed stage investor and pre-seed growth engine.
We provide the tools and capital for great people to build amazing companies. At pre-seed stage, we offer access to development, design, product, marketing and growth expertise that turns early stage ideas into technically and visually brilliant businesses. Our investment thesis focuses on mobility, SaaS, and platforms and industries where network effects and digital distribution can bring impact. The seed stage investments we have made to date all have this thread in common.
With offices in Lisbon and London, we operate a pan-European network that bridges Iberia, the UK, Europe and the world.
I am proud to be a mentor on some of the most influential accelerators in the world. These accelerators are intensive mentor led bootcamps that culminate with a series of investor days where teams pitch to a large, carefully selected group of Angel investors, VCs and Private Equity groups for next stage funding.
I’m currently an active mentor on Techstars, Techstars Fintech, Cognicity, Level 39 and Seedcamp.
It’s an exciting part of my work life where I can input my knowledge as well as learning about some of the latest developments in technology and business.
You can read more about my role with TechStars at this link
While not having a lot of time to write these days, I still have strong opinions on the industry, the trends surrounding it and insights into what the future holds. I write regular features for Faber’s blog as well as Entrepreneur Country and my own personal blog on Medium.
I am always looking for further opportunities to write, so if you are looking for insight for your blog or site, please do get in touch
Communications Director – Clarity PR
Working with some of the most exciting startups on the planet, this role saw me strategically inputting into technology products at an early stage. With these strategies I help startups to grow into full companies. The work that we did at Clarity helped many startups become huge success stories, with media coverage across the worlds best titles.
As well as client work I also helped open our third office in Berlin in 2013.
Writing and Press Mentions
With Sonos announcing only yesterday that Airplay support was coming to the Sonos range, as well as updating their iPhone and iPad apps – we thought it was about time we took the Sonos for a spin.
With the recent trend in cramming as many features as possible into a phone in an effort to jump on the smartphone bandwagon, the Nokia X2 bucks the trend and offers simplicity of design and features.
The Nikon D7000 is Nikon’s latest consumer-professional crossover camera, offering a raft of features at a price that won’t bankrupt. Though aimed at the amateur enthusiast photographer, the feature set allows for plenty of customisation should you want to get a little more hands-on.
A once ‘rough and ready’ district has been gentrified beyond recognition and you now can’t walk more than fifty metres without bumping into someone working on ‘the next big thing’.
I’ve written before about various aspects of the Internet of things (IoT), but I specifically wanted to get my thoughts down on the concept as a whole and where it needs to go if it will ever reign supreme.
I was asked to work with Withings to help them create a promotional video for their range of baby monitors in late 2012. The video was great fun! You might notice a slight difference in the way I look as I was 100lbs heavier back then!
